Sorry, Babz, Any chance you can cement a foot or two of cyclone fence to the top of your stone wall? (not you personally with the cement). I’ve seen it done once or twice around here and apparently it works. Good luck!

Very entertaining, Barbara. Sorry about your deer problem. Send them to sunny CA. Haven’t seen one since we’ve been out here. heat will KILL them 😓

Oy Vey!!!! Can understand your frustration. Maybe a bigger stone wall.

I think you may need a deer fence. Then your neighbors will get your deer and they will start complaining. Then perhaps when everyone complains the town will begin to offer up solutions. Or come live near me! No deer here ( yet)!

Send them to Larchmont to round up the woodchuck family in our back yard.

This blog idea is very cute. As for your Bambi dilemma it has been told to me recently by a lawn/garden provider that one way to keep these adorable-looking creatures at bay is to plant a few things (inexpensive) they love near their entryway, i.e., the stone wall in your case. It’s worth a try.

I do feel very badly for you and your garden as I know how you love it and invest much effort and love to make it spectacular.

Aha. I have a list of deer-resistant plants — but deer will eat anything when their primary food sources are not available, including lemon bushes! I’ll also send you (via email) an offering from White Flower Farms that I just bought and planting tomorrow.
